Chapter 39
**Mary’s
view**
I walked to
Jesse’s car and didn’t talk so much. It was hard to let go and move away from
that place. I was going to sit inside of the car and then I hear him shout my
name from front door. “Mary! Just wait!” I was looking at to Nick, but then
Jesse walks to front of him and punch him to face. “You stay away from her!” He
yelled at Nick. Nick fall down to ground and his nose was bleeding. “Son of… I
just want talk to her. Just for minute.” Nick looked at Jesse and tried to stop
bleeding from his nose. I walked behind Jesse and whispers to his ear. “Just
sit inside car. I’m okay.” Jesse looks at me and then to Nick. “You keep your
hands away from my girlfriend. You hear me, Carter?” I looked at Nick and he
only nod. “Yeah… Whatever.” Jesse sat inside of the car and was watching us
like starker. I looked at to Nick and smiled. “I’m very sorry. I really am. I
don’t see future with you, Nick. Try to understand. I want to get married and
Jesse can afford me that. You another hand… You don’t. You only think us as
having fun and have kids without marriage. That is not me, Nick.” He looks at
me sad and sighs. “Well I was hoping we can stay as friends. I really do.” I
shake my head and move away from Nick. “No. We can’t. Just look after yourself.
Okay? Say hi to Holly.” And then I get inside the can and I can see his face is
so much sadness. Jesse drives away from yard and start to speed to road. I took
deep breath and fall me head back. Jesse touches my hand and kiss it gently. “You
are fine now. He’s not getting near you anymore.” I looked at Jesse and was
chocked. “What the hell are you talking about? You punched him for no reason.
He only wanted to talk to me. You don’t punch a human when he or she wants to talk.”
I snapped at to Jesse. Jesse put his look back to street. “I’m sorry. I just
hate what he did to you. I just wanted revenge I guess.” OH he was my hero. He
saved me from devil. Well Nick is not so bad, but I like Jesse more. I looked
at to him and smiles at him. “Well he kind of deserved it. Thank you.” I give
kiss to his cheek and he turns to kiss my lips. I can only laugh and I moved
away from back to my seat. “Keep your eyes back to road, silly. You don’t want
us to die?” And he smiled to that and takes my hand one more time and kissed
it. I was going to be happy with Jesse. I got that feeling. I trust it.
**Nick’s
View.**
I walked to
living-room and turn TV on. There was football, but I wasn’t so interested of
it. I change the channel and there was coming cartoons Scooby-Doo. Oh that
reminds me off Mary. I started to watch it and start to drink some beer same
time. My dad’s bedroom door opens and I looked at to door. “Hey son. How are you
doing?” He asked and sat next to me to couch. I lift my shoulders meaning that
I’m not so sure. “Fine I guess. How about you, dad?” I looked at to him and he
sighs. “It’s so weird that your mom is not round here. I can’t believe that she
stole your money. She had done this once already and now you. I never shouldn’t
let her to be Aaron’s manager.” He crossed his hands against his chest. “Dad
you didn’t know. You loved mom. Now we know what kind of person she is. So don’t
say it’s your fault, cause it’s not.” I told him what I was thinking of. He
looked at me and smiled. “Thanks, son. What are you watching?” He pointed at to
Scooby Doo on TV. “OH yeah. I was bored so. I wanted to watch some boring. Mary
use to watch this with her friends.” I took sip on my beer and looked at to TV.
“What really happened, Nicholas? Why she’s not with you?” oh no… He asked that
question I didn’t want to answer. “Cause I don’t want to getting married. Not
what happened to you and mom. That will happen to me. I know it will.” He looks
at me and shake his head. “Oh Nicholas… What happened to me and mom is not
meaning that it will happens for you. You decide what you do. People get divorce
all the time and I’m sorry it happened to us.” he looked at me and he was very
sorry. “I’m sorry dad. I really am, but I just don’t believe in marriage.” I
looked at to my dad and he looks at me back. “So you two stop dating cause she
want to get married and you don’t?” I only nod and put my look back to TV. “She’s
happy now with Jesse. That’s all the matters. I won’t ever get her back.” I
drank my beer again and put empty bottle to coffee table. He looks at the
bottle and sighs. “And alcohol solves all your problems?” He looked at me very
worried. “Dad I’m fucking 24 years old. I’m too young to get married and so is
she. She’s freaking 13… No she just turns into 14.” I snapped at him and looked
at him. “I know, son. I know. Chill out. You got tour coming up. You should
pack your stuff.” He then stood up and walked to kitchen. I guess he right.
Maybe tour helps me to move on. I shut off the TV and walked to upstairs to get
rest of my stuff. I took my bag on my bed and I heard paper voice and I looked
around to see piece of paper on the floor. I let down to bags on the floor and
grab the paper. I recognize handwriting. It was from Mary.
“Hi Nick
I know it’s hard to let me go, but you have to.
We want different things. I want to get married and have a family. You just
want to be party boy. Have some kids maybe without marriage. Good luck with
that. I guess Mariah would be perfect for you. I’m sorry this happened. I’m not
really in love to Jesse. I’m planning to go back to Finland away from you. I
can’t live like this near you. I think it’s just better us to be apart. I
promise to come 1 of to your concert whenever you come to Finland. I had so
much fun, but this is it. End to our road. End for us. Find someone who loves
you the way you are. This is last time you ever heard from me ever again. God

I read a
letter and I can see that she was crying when she was writing this. There was
ink mess on her name. It was hard to read what is says, but I know it’s from
Mary. Her hand writing is so beautiful.
She was leaving back to Finland. That must be joke. I walked to Hannah’s
room door and knock it hard. It took 5 seconds and she opens up. “What?” She
looked pissed… Wondering why put to letter. “Mary left me this. She says she
going back to Finland. Did she tell you about this?” I showed her a letter and
she grab the letter and started to read it and then her mouth open wide. “Oh my
God! Hayden… Mary left back to Finland.” Hayden? I looked at inside to her room
and Hayden was laying down on bed. Didn’t want to know what he was doing with
Hannah. Hayden stood up off the bed and comes to door. “What on earth? Oh hi
Nick. I didn’t know you are here.” He looks at me and we hugged each other
friendly. “Hey. I didn’t know you are here either.” We laughed and then Hannah looks
at us. “Hello. Back to my sister.” I put my look back to Hannah. “Yes. So she
hadn’t told you anything about leaving?” I questioned. She only shakes her head
and walks back to her room and sit downs to her bed. Hayden sat next to her and
holds her closer to him. Well they look very cute together. Glad I can help them.
I put them together and I was kind of happy about it. Hayden has been single
long time. He deserve to have girl like Hannah. I just stand there looking at
them. “I only know that Jesse came here and took her with him. That’s only
thing I know.” I said and looked at Hannah. “Thanks Nick. You are really nice
guy, but so much an asshole. How dare you to leave her cause she want to get
married. Every woman wants that.” I sighed and looked at her sorry look on my
face. “I’m very sorry. She and I are different persons.” She moved closer to
Hayden and I walked away from the room.
